Hello from Wellington Circus on yet another debatable late-summer's day ! Wind instead of rain. I think we would just settle for settled. One way or the other. 'Jumper or no jumper?' rather than ' jumper, oh no, its too hot now', followed by 'where is my jumper?', two hours later. Anyway enough weather moaning. It's the new subject instead of credit crunch. So I have been stuck in a world of HTML and the like trying to sort out this blog page and loaded a couple of videos and images on it to see how they looked. Then realised the error of my ways, there was no blog ! Oh dear thats not really playing by the rules. So now we have a bit of blog served up to you which is trying not to wander off into a hundred reasons why life is like it is and what we should do to recover the economy. However, I am going to blatantly cheat today (pushed for time and all that) and cut and paste - dirty words I know - an intersting thread and link for an exciting event this October in Nottingham. The very nice chaps from Love Unlimited are putting on a night in an empty space (the old Nash Interiors building in Hockley), featuring music, performance, a very late night and all things 'love'ly. Its a great idea and its good to see some effort being made to bring something new and fresh to the city. I have set this up so if you click on the article below it will take you to their homepage so you can suscribe, join or whatever else you would like to do. So here goes, read on and, with assurance, get involved in a very interesting and lively bit of entertainment.....
Enjoy, Nick.

Hands up if you like a party? We thought so. Nottingham is packed to the rafters with eager revellers, all of whom have probably been feeling there to be a distinct lack of quality night-time shenanigans locally in recent years – apart from the odd banger at Boogaloo and Moog. What do you say now if you’re asked to name a decent club in Nottingham?

If, like us, you have been yearning for an event to really get excited about, then salvation is just around the corner, with the kind of party that will reinvent the days when clubbing was F-U-N.

After a long and serendipitous search we believe we have found the perfect venue. It’s a centrally located, non-commercial building that is about to be refurbished into an art/music/retail space that we’re sure will reinvent Hockley. But before that happens we’re very kindly being let loose, by the lovely owners, to create an amazing all night party for us all to remember. We have a team of brilliantly creative people joining forces to make it look, feel and sound very special, and others are coming together to bring the ‘unexpected’ to the occasion (we definitely won’t all be facing the DJs).

Inside it’s big. Upon entering you’ll be presented with an array of visually themed and musically varied party spaces, interspersed with hidden nooks and crannies, on multiple floors, including an intimate basement and even a courtyard for smoking. All in all it’s an adventure playground for adults to explore and get lost in. It’s going to be safe, above board and if you’re Nottingham party folk, it’s going to be right on your doorstep.

We can’t give too much away at this stage, but if you want to receive the latest news on the party then leave us your e-mail address below (we won’t be making any noise directly on Facebook) and check back at this page. Some very exciting details (i.e. the what and who) are ready and developing that we can’t wait to share with you. The only issue is that tickets will have to be limited – to allow space for the installations and for people to dance like it’s 1989.
